Hello and Welcome

Hi there, and thank you for visiting the Hippie at Heart Website ...I do hope you enjoy the first blog!!.  I am hoping to give you a better idea of exactly what Hippie at Heart is, it may look like a little hippie shop, but it is so much more. 

For some it’s a friendly place to meet with friends, for others it’s their go to place for all their holistic needs.... whether your into the Hippie vibe,crystals, incense, witchcraft or you just like something a bit different than the norm. 

People of all ages visit the shop on a regular basis and compliment on the environment....Theres always Incense burning..the best of the 60's playing in the back ground... and most of all laughter and a smile on peoples faces... Hou will always be made to feel welcome, and I am hoping to bring a bit of that magic here ( after all it would be a bit mean to keep it all to ourselves).

Fortunately, this blog should be straight forward for the first one as this week started out with our themed coffee morning.  Every couple of weeks we run a coffee morning which anyone is welcome to attend, all we ask is that you are open minded and up for learning something new.  The theme is discussed by the group of attendees a few weeks before and then we discuss it when we all come together.  The theme that was chosen this time was Chakras, in the past we have discussed crystals, spell work, ghost hunting and even the story about our own Stokie Legend Molly Lea, The Burslem Witch. 

The coffee morning always starts with a good old cup of tea and a natter whilst everyone catches up and then we go into the chosen theme.  We always aim to keep this part to about 20 minutes but it always goes over because people share their ideas, suggestions and experiences, the vibe is amazing, its so positive. 

The people who attended now know that the Chakras are like the energy centres within the body that can influence a person’s physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, or as we said they are like spinning cogs in the body that sometimes can get a bit rusty (unbalanced) and require a bit of WD40 (TLC, Reiki, Crystal Healing).  We always try to keep it light-hearted and fun so that people feel at home which is so important to us.... It’s been a busy week in the shop with lots of new and regular people visiting...we have regular deliveries throughout the week so you'll always find something new! This week weve had a great range of free form crystals including ... Labradorite.. Pink tourmaline.. Clear Quartz and lots more.. Also we are starting to get new clothing in ready for summer. 

In a firther delivery there was so much incense it took over half the table!! but it was a great place to hide and admire the new crystals that have come in. I have to admit I am a huge fan of Nag champa but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.  Fortunately though the tea and conversation continued to flow as it always does as well as the laughter.  Part of what makes the shop so special is the people that come through the door and there is always someone to chat with, so this is why we are reaching out to you.  We want to extend that experience out to everyone, so let us know where you are from and if you have any questions ask away.
