The Hippie at Heart Coffee Morning is a relaxing space where we explore different themes and topics .. all of which are holistic based.
At this particular morning we focused on the Wheel of the Year. It’s a traditional way of marking the natural cycles, festivals, and energies that guide many spiritual paths. During our gathering, we looked at what each seasonal point represents, how it connects to everyday life, and how we can bring a little more intention and balance into the year ahead.

Each festival above can be celebrated in many ways and here are just a few suggestions for each:
Yule — The Winter Solstice marks the longest night and the return of the sun. It’s a time for rest, reflection, and welcoming new light into the year.
Imbolc — A celebration of early stirrings of spring. Imbolc focuses on renewal, cleansing, and preparing for growth.
Ostara — The Spring Equinox brings balance between light and dark. Themes include fertility, new beginnings, and fresh energy.
Beltane — A fire festival honouring passion, creativity, and the height of spring. It’s associated with connection, joy, and vibrant life.
Litha — The Summer Solstice celebrates the longest day. It’s a time of strength, abundance, and appreciating the fullness of the season.
Lammas / Lughnasadh — The first harvest festival, focused on gratitude, hard work, and the rewards of effort.
Mabon — The Autumn Equinox brings another moment of balance. It’s a time for reflection, gathering, and giving thanks.
Samhain — The final festival marks the thinning of the veil and the end of the harvest. Themes include remembrance, intuition, and honouring ancestors.
As a group we were able to discuss each festival and what we enjoyed about each one and which ones resonated with each person. The day before the coffee morning was the start of Litha, The Summer Solstice and Mother Nature has surely bought this celebration in with a bang with the recent heat wave. I am sure you have all felt the strength of the sun in these recent weeks.
We did have plenty of laughs as always and its always nice to hear other peoples experiences, tips and suggestions on how they like to celebrate each festival. If you are interested in attending one of the coffee mornings then take a look at our Facebook page where the dates are added to, the next one being the 27th July 2026, and if anyone has any suggestions for future themes please drop me a comment.
The group had a lovely morning and are already looking forward to the next. We hope to see you soon. C xx
